-Wreck This Journal- new backpack- permanently set at 11:11- "key to my heart"...although not specifically Les Mis; it's probably the only book I've never finished- cinnamon latte- lilac weather.

Just a few photos. There's not been anything exciting or out of the ordinary in the past few days, except that I'm almost finished with my first semester of college. It's a little freaky and weird to realize that I've made it through this, and it's almost over.

I'm so ready for this semester to wind down so I can head off to Europe. Mom and I occasionally have little fits of giddiness because we're actually going to France again! I'm compiling a list of things that I want to do, touristy things, of course. I want to stand at Kilometer Zero, Paris, and make a wish; buy a book from the Kilometer Zero bookstore; have a conversation in French; explore Lille; drink a coffee on a corner cafe; and ect.

I'm hoping to learn how to use my film camera before we leave. Not sure if it would be worth it to carry two large cameras across Europe, but I'd love to learn how to use it. I want to see if Europe looks different on film.

I'll be studying for finals, so it may be a while until I'm back again. I hope you have a happy week!

  1. Beautiful pictures! And I love your new look (again).
Europe is exciting! I like the idea of the film camera--that's actually one of my goals this summer, to experiment with film. Also I can't wait for traveling this summer, either. I'm going to Hawai'i and Washington D.C., both for the first time. Eep! :)
And finals--eep again. A bad eep this time. But the bright side? 17 days of school left. Oh yes.

  2. I clicked on your blog and the new changes made me smile. It's beautiful!

  3. Lovely photos, and yay for your trip to Europe! I'd bring a film camera if I were you :) x

  4. I have "Wreck This Journal," too. But I struggle with following some of the instructions. :)

Lovely pictures! I'm so jealous that you're going to Europe.

Thank goodness I didn't have any exams this semester. :) Hope that yours go well!

  5. Alright. So WHERE did you get that ADORABLE backpack?!?!

  6. Wreck This Journal! I bought one for myself and I've had so much fun destroying it so far, haha.

Gah, so exciting about your trip to Europe! Make sure to take a million photos to post so we can see. :)

  7. Wait wait wait. YOU'RE IN COLLEGE?!!?!?! There's a big "LY" in my mind (meaning "lucky you") I'm finishing up my freshman year in high school and I'm terrified of it. Of course, I know you'd say it's easy.
Okay, changing subject: I adore your new blog design!! It's so pretty and lovely happy and ohh I just adore it ;) :))
    -Jocee <3

  8. Kendall- thanks so much :) I couldn't stand the way the photos looked on my last design. That sounds exciting! I can't wait to hear about it.

Jodie- thank you dear! I'm kinda in love with your design too.

Rachelous- I'll probably end up bringing it :)

Kristin- I do too! My OCD has issues with it.

    Caroline- JCPenney's. It's beautiful. :)

Natalie- haha yes! I'm looking forward to bringing it into the shower with me. :)

Jocee- ...it's just two duel-credit classes, so no big deal. :) aww thanks! I love it too. :)

  9. Beautiful photos! I would love to get a film camera and travel round the countryside, taking photos of the dreamy landscapes. A quick look at film photos of Paris confirmed it all--Paris in film is even better than Paris in digital.
And such a pretty new look! Your designs are always so lovely.
For me, I've got four weeks, a week's break, and then five or six more weeks... And then the last week of July is the first week of my summer holiday!

  10. Pretty pictures! <3

  11. Libby- that settles it then! when do you get back in school in the fall? because if it was around the same time as our schools, then that would leave you with only a month of break.

Catherine- :) checked out your blog- love that you live in the Netherlands. it's my favorite country. :)

  12. i've seen that journal, it is so awesome. not mentioning france, i'm ignoring you, la la la.

  13. Hello, Katie!

I really love all of these photos. 'Wreck This Journal' is fantastic. I truly love books, so I didn't think I would be able to wreck it. Turns out, I can! :)

That cinnamon latte looks delectable, and I love your clock and backpack. I have a few film cameras, but I don't have any film for them yet. I'm definitely going to get some before I leave for Paris & London next Spring. Film photos are lovely.

    Have a beautiful day!

  14. LF- it is pretty amazing. Not cool! I totally wish I could go see you :P

Abbey- hello there! I thought the exact same thing when I bought it :) Yes, I don't have any film for my camera either. I'm basically clueless when it comes to film. you do too! :)

    Gabriella- thanks so much!

go ahead. make my day.
