pomegranate love.

I think I'd move back to Europe purely for the pomegranates. They're my favorite fruit, and, of course, only available during a very short period of winter. Before my grandpa died, he would always make sure that I had one in my Christmas stocking. Santa has continued that tradition. ;)

I'm all of a sudden so not ready to go back. It's feeling a bit like deja vu again;
there's that feeling of, I remember doing this last summer.

I keep comparing everything to last summer. It's the only independent trip I've taken ever,
and the first international trip in a long time.

Today was overwhelmingly bittersweet. For the past week or so, I've been ready to leave,
ready to be home, and now, I'm not.
Today we discovered that what looked like a blocks of stores, is really just
stores on the outside, and an open courtyard.
Inside, the courtyard was full of old used books and records.
So what I want to know is why didn't we discover this two weeks ago?

We're off to crepes for dinner, maybe a last stroll around the city, and then Paris tomorrow.

  2. Oh yes, I love pomegranates. =)

I wouldn't want to leave either, but it sounds like you've been having a great time. And home does always feel good, even with missing your travels.

I want to go to that courtyard! It sounds awesome.

  3. I don't think I've ever had a real pomegranate, only pomegranate flavored things. But they're yummy, so I think I should. :)

  4. I've never actually had a pomegranate either, but it sounds like it would certainly be fantastic. And yeah, I can definitely understand the feeling of not wanting to leave, but also feeling a bit homesick at the same time. I hope your last stroll around is wonderful.

  5. Pomegranates are my nephew's favorite fruit. I remember having to sit and peel them and chunk out all the seeds. Such a painstaking process - but anything for the littles. =)

  7. Oh my goodness, pomegranates! Those photos are enough to make my cry. Not really, but I miss them so much. I can't wait until they're back in season.

Have a beautiful time in Paris, Katie! :)

  8. I simply adore pomegranates! They are the most delicate and delicious of fruits...we have them every Christmas at my best friend's house over Israeli food to celebrate the birth of the King. <3
