using different words.

Listening to: You Gave Me a Promise by Fireflight.
Quote love: "I have decided that maybe I want to write when I grow up. I just don't know what I would write."

The other day my mom finished reading my most recent post, turned to me and said, "You know, you can only write about the weather and coffee so many times."

I sighed and couldn't agree more. Lately I've been feeling that I have nothing to write about. I feel like I write about the same thing over and over again, using different words. It's getting repetitive. If it's repetitive for me to write, I can only imagine how it is to read.

So. Is there anything you want to see more often? More photos? More writing? More about what's going on in my life?

I actually have a post-it note with seven or eight things I was going to write about, but I have photos for most of them on my camera. The cord has disappeared, and I haven't been able to find it, even after two hours of looking. Sooo, sometime this week you can look for a long, rambling post full of photos and updates about what's happening in my life, and a few randoms that don't have much to do with anything.

Until then, off to look for my camera cord!

  1. I am always in such awe of your life Katie. You inspire me to slow down and... pretty literally, drink a cup of tea and read a good book. :)

My life is so crazy hectic -- yours seems so peaceful. :)

    xx,

  3. It's the same in my case. When I read what all I write, it all looks so repetitive and then I can't come up with anything to write about!
    I hate having a writer's block! *sighs*
You have a nice blog :) Glad I came across it!
Hoping to catch more of your posts! Take Care! =)

  5. I saw that you love the Sarah Dessen books so I read your blog and I loved it. I always find myself writing about the same stuff too on my blog which if you want to check out is called islandfoglifter on bloggerspot.
By the way I love the pictures where are they taken?

  6. Hey, coffee, photography and weather aren't bad topics.

    Just saying.

My Dad bought me a notebook, and I've been doing creative writing in it everyday (okay, I skipped ONE) since the 11th.

Last night I spent a whole page writing about how daunting blank pages are.

Sometimes the words don't come, and that's hard.

You are a crazy talent photographer though :)

  7. Bleah- aww, thanks dear! I guess my life isn't that peaceful, it's just what I choose to highlight. make sense?

    Book Blogger- thank you!

Anna Rose- I'll keep that in mind. Always a good idea!

Lonely Dreamer- yepp, I know exactly what you mean. thanks so much! You too!

Bleah- of course! I'll try to get you one later this week.

Islandfoglifter- thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to check it out. Generally either around or in my house. We live way out in the country, so I have some perfect photo opportunities.

Jillian- agreed. It just gets old saying the same thing over and over again. that's such a great idea! And really good discipline, I'd imagine. I know, they just stare at you. It's like they're daring you to create something beautiful. thank you so much! It means a lot coming from you :)
